From 25 May 2018, new data protection regulations mean that I will only be able to contact you if you confirm that you are happy for me to contact you. If I don’t hear from you I will no longer be able to email and/or text you. I’d love to keep in touch, so that you get notifications of classes, blogs, reminders and useful information relating to exercise and well-being. To do so, I need to know that you still want to hear from me.
HOW TO GIVE YOUR PERMISSION
1. Read the section below called “How I Use Your Information"
2. Send me an email at [email protected] with the following statement: “Dear Joanna, I have read and understood the Privacy Policy and I hereby consent to the use of my personal data as described in this statement. Please contact me by Email, or Text. Regards [ENTER YOUR FULL NAME]” You may be able to cut & paste this so it should take you less than a minute!
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON’T DO ANYTHING
From 25 May, I’ll stop sending you any emails or blogs. These include messages about classes, notifications of changes, reminders and useful information relating to you exercise and well-being.
HOW I USE YOUR INFORMATION
I take the contact details (name, mobile number and/or email address, plus brief medical history if relevant) you provide to inform you of future classes, or provide you with information which may be beneficial to you; these details are kept with me during each class so I have your 'in case of emergency' contact and important medical information to hand. When you provide your personal contact information, including when you sign up to a Challenge or other event I run, or to my newsletter, your details are captured, hosted and processed on my personal laptop, and I keep a paper copy too, where relevant. Where there is a legal requirement to hold your data for a defined period of time e.g. for insurance and liability purposes, your information will be held for the duration required by local law. When your personal information is no longer required, it will be deleted. Note that I do not share your information with third parties. Please contact me by email at [email protected] if you wish to:
