Better Backs Challenge
After the success of my Core Challenge in February this year, I’m running another Challenge, this time, all about enjoying a better back – one that is stronger, more flexible, and free from discomfort.
There are two parts to this Challenge: Part one starts on 1st September 2022 and runs for a fortnight. Then there is a break, where you practise your homework before Part two starts on 1st October 2022 - and this part runs for a fortnight too.
The two-part Challenge focuses on building knowledge, awareness and strength in your back - and in many other parts of the body too. You’ll get all kinds of support, guidance and inspiration over the Challenge that you can continue to use for as long as you like. They’ll be videos, live online classes, a selection of daily exercises and an optional 1:1 session with me.

- Four live Zoom classes (they are recorded and will be emailed to you afterwards) - 20 minutes each.
- Four recorded videos with homework suggestions (emailed to you throughout the course) - 10 minutes each.
- One photo collage of daily exercises to try (emailed to you before the course starts).
- One 1:1 session with me (optional; I will arrange this via email with you and conduct it on Zoom) - 15 minutes each.

1. Make sure you are well enough to participate. If your doctor or other medical professional has advised that exercise is not suitable for you, please don't sign up. You are responsible for your body and your well-being.
2. This Challenge will not cure a long-term, medically-diagnosed condition. Instead, it will help you learn more about your back muscles, how they work and how you can strengthen them. If you do the work, you will see some changes over time, as long as you don't have any major injuries or problems.
3. If you can't make the live sessions, fear not! I will email the recordings out afterwards. Please make sure you give me your correct email address. Note that I don't offer refunds, so if you can't make the course for any reason after you have paid for it, you will still be sent all the information and videos, and you can participate at another time that suits you.

“What if I’m at work and can’t make the live sessions?” I record all sessions and email the recordings to you afterwards, so no worries if you can’t be there live – you can watch on demand.
“How difficult will it be? I’ve not exercised for a while…” It is only as difficult as you would like it to be. I always offer a variety of options for each pose/exercise, and everything is optional. You do only what works best for you.
“I’m not very flexible. Does that matter?” No, not at all. This Challenge is all about promoting appropriate flexibility in a way that helps the body feel safe and secure enough to move well. The exercises in the Challenge will help you become more flexible if that is what you want; it will also help build strength in many parts of the body, and it will help with small niggles and annoying twinges too.
