I read a really interesting article recently about junk light – how, especially in winter, we tend not to seek out natural light; rather, we ‘survive’ on junk light from screens and artificial lighting. The article went on to comment that, for people who are interested in their health and well-being, they wouldn’t usually opt for junk food. Instead, they would choose something less processed and better for them.
It’s the same for light: choose natural light over artificial light. On a grey and murky day like today (where I am, at least), that might feel like a waste of time even sitting by a window. But don’t be deterred: try heading outside at the brightest part of the day to reap the most benefit. We know it makes sense!
